Your body is not the problem

Throughout our lives, we have things that are a priority to us, a focus, a value that is higher than other values.

For some, this might be your family at that period of time you're focusing on your family and spending more time together. Other times it might be your job, and most of your energy and attention is focused on building your career or excelling in your career.

It's important to remember that you can never excel in everything. As much as we want to have every part of our life perfect we physically don't have enough time and energy to focus on everything at once. If we try, we either burn out or one thing has to give and we end up losing one of those values.

Now the important part of this whole thing is that during different phases of our life when we focus on different things, our schedule changes, and things like health and fitness may change too. This means that your body can change based on where you're at in your life. For women, having a baby will make your body change, this is just one example. Another example is if your priority is career and you're working more hours than usual then maybe you are now spending less time exercising and aren't training as much. I want to underline that THIS IS OKAY! THIS IS NORMAL!

Just because we aren't doing as much training doesn't mean we should punish ourselves or think less of ourselves. Every part of our life will have our own best health for that part of where you're at.What you could fit into you schedule when you were 20 won't be the same as what you get done when you're 30. And if you think about your teenage body vs your womanly adult body IT IS DIFFERENT and that's the same for everyone. Your body isn't horrible for changing, your body isn't abnormal for curving a little more this way and holding a little more body fat in this spot. Now where we need to draw the line is how we let these thoughts affect us. Knowing our body changes, knowing we can't keep the same body we had when we were 18 means we need to cut ourselves some slack. If you spend your whole life seeing your body as a disgusting changing thing, you will not leave as much love and light in your brain to flourish and grow in your life. Why waste time worrying about something that is inevitable? Why waste time and energy feeling horrible about yourself for something that is PART OF LIFE?Just as the above quote says, THE PROBLEM ISNT WITH YOUR BODY THE PROBLEM IS WHAT YOU THINK OF IT AND WHAT YOU THINK OF YOURSELF

You can always change how you see yourself, you can decide to accept who you are to change how you feel. Respect yourself, respect the journey you've had to be where you are and respect this beautiful vessel that allows you to carry out all the wonderful activities you desire in life.

My journal prompt for you today and something I want you to think about is What problem do you think you have with your body?

Why does it feel like a problem and how can you change the way you see this problem?

How can you accept this problem to find acceptance?
