Set yourself up for a good week!

fitness health plan ahead productivity tips

If you're someone who gets a yucky, sad feeling every time it's Sunday afternoon knowing the week ahead is coming up, then this email is for you! I'm going to give you a bunch of tips to help your week improve!

TIP NUMBER ONE Plan ahead! This will help your future self and also help your current self who might feel overwhelmed at the busy week ahead of you! Use a calendar or diary or whatever you use to map out your week of work to make sure you include free time and fun things in the mix! Planning ahead will make you feel more in control! TIP NUMBER TWO Always make time for yourself each week. We schedule meetings, see friends, stay back at work but can often forget to make time for US! It can even be as short as a 15min walk or time by yourself with your morning coffee. This time is really important for us to check in with ourselves, to let our minds be free for a little, and stop the rat race feeling of go go go. TIP NUMBER THREE Get outside in nature as much as you can. This one is tricky if you work inside, in a shopping center or office all day but even a morning or afternoon walk or eating your breakfast on the deck is enough. Any time you can to get fresh air is going to really benefit your day and week! TIP NUMBER FOUR Do the things you dont want to do. It sounds counterproductive but putting off tasks only makes us feel more anxious more overwhelmed and more stressed. Instead, if we just get the things we don't want to do done at the start of the week it leaves us with the remaining week to let go of unnecessary worry and also leaves more time for the things we DO want to do. Remember putting off the task you don't want to do doesn't make it go away (as much as we hope it will)

TIP NUMBER FIVEDont beat yourself up if your week doesn't go exactly to plan. Life happens, things happen and its absolutely normal for us to not get as much done, to have been held up, for something to happen. Focus on what you can do and what you did get done and know there is always another week coming up to get it done then. We don't exist in this world just to tick boxes on our to do list so make sure you aren't getting too caught up! Also, don't push yourself to overwork like crazy. You'll only burn out in the end and need more time off later! Go back to step number two and check in with yourself and how you're feeling!
